Leopard gecko eggs

Hi, i have a leopard gecko egg thats due to hatch soon and about a week ago it got wrinkly and sunken in a bit. I can see theres something in there but nothing has happend and i'm kind of worried. Is this normal or is it a pretty safe bet to say that its dead?

no! how soon is it due? leo eggs tend to cave in a bit and get pretty wrinkly looking when they approach the hatch date. i've had quite a few eggs that caved in so much that they looked as if there couldn't possibly be anything good in them that hatched out nice fat healthy little babies.

on the other hand, if it caves in like that not long after being laid it probably isn't viable and you may need to up the humidity level in your incubator.

the egg is due to hatch with in the next 2 weeks(not sure on the exact date) but should it be getting wrinkly that long before the hatch date?

maybe...it's hard to say for sure without actually seeing the egg. just keep on incubating and keep an eye on it. definitely don't toss it until there is no question that it is bad--a.k.a. green totally molded through stanky raisin type thing.
