    My baby STILL won't eat!!!!!!

My little corn, who is still with the breeder, was given another opportunity to eat this weekend, and still wasn't interested. I was really hoping it would eat this time! I am getting worried and am very unhappy. How long can a new baby go without eating before problems arise? My baby will be 16 days old on July 4. I'm so frustrated!!! I have waited almost a year for this baby and now it won't eat!!!!!

Personally Mina if this baby is giving the breeder problems with not starting eating I'd start to think about choosing one of it's clutchmates that is the color you want and is successfully feeding. Not saying slow starters are bad snakes or anything, but all the stress it's causing you and having to wait even longer for your snake isn't a lot of fun. Why not just pick another one from that clutch that is ready to go and get it home with you now.

I'd still have to wait, Jo. She won't let them come home until they have eaten twice and then digested. Besides the other baby that is the color that I want has a spine deformity that concerns me. I'm going to go talk to her later this week seriously and see what she thinks.

The one with the spine deformity has eaten at least once. I'm going to go talk to her tomorrow and I'll let you know what happens.

I had feeding problems with one of my baby corns. The only time it ate was when the pinky was "brained" first.

Yeah I know, I read the other thread about the oddly colored "ghost."

Right now I have a baby ball python that isn'tdoing the best job eating on its own. Luckily though, it doesn't take much force feeding to get it started.
