    my black blood

hey, Im new to the forum. So I figured I'd post some pics of my black blood. These pics were taking the first day we got her. She was just about to go into a shed cycle. I need to take some new pics I know I've been slacking.

My blood (Baby Nia) is almost 2feet. She is great. She doesn't mind handling at all. I just feed her saturday night, for the first time. She had no problems at all. I also have a female ball python. She was actually gravid when we bought her. (Which we didnt know) We used a friends chicken egg incubator, her eggs didnt make it. The temps/humidity were perfect. I had a feeling it was the incubator. The eggs were too close to the heat. I was sooo upset. But the ball was my first snake EVER! So I tried my best.

Cool - glad to hear you have a mellow one - same story with ours ("Vader" is actually the first herp our son bought for himself out of his own pocket) - a very mellow guy. They love humidity. What are you keeping yours in?

The blood is in a 20gallon (long) aquarium, with aspen/moss bedding. And our ball is in a 55 gallon with aspen and a lil moss. Both have a under the tank heater. And of course they both have water bowls, and hide boxes, plus drift wood.

    Re: my black blood

not too good with just aspen(in the 20gallon)... so we added the moss, and have to spray it often. For some reason the 55gallon is always perfect. I added a little moss also, but it really doesnt need it.
