    Los Angeles

I just moved from Flagstaff, AZ to Los Angeles and I was wondering if anyone knows of a good reptile pet store in the Mount Washington/Eagle Rock area. Even if it is a bit further out I don't mind the extra driving for a good pet shop.

    Re: Los Angeles

Personally I think the best reptile shop in southern California is LLL Reptile; they have store fronts in Oceanside and Escondido. It's worth the trip.

Prehistoric Pets in Fountain Valley is okay to visit and they have some huge snakes and weird two headed ones but I wouldn't buy an animal there.

Amazon Reptile Center in Montclair is good and I would shop there if it were closer but I am out in Redlands.

We have two pet stores in town that have reptiles and herp supplies, one specifically is a reptile shop, which is so-so. Between them and Petco, I get the supplies I need.

    Re: Los Angeles

    Repeating what was said above...heh..

Prehistoric Pets in Fountain Valley is fun...but not the most helpful and yeah, wouldn't buy an animal there. They also have a location in Chino...now called Reptile Guru...alot smaller, but a bit better, I think.

There is Radical Reptiles in Stanton (near Cypress and Buena Park) in Hobby City. That is where I got my first corn from. I like that place...they're extremely helpful and let me play with everything.

I hear the best things though about Amazon pets...they have a location out in Montclair and a new one in Covina. Healthy animals, helpful staff.

Of course, if it's just feeders you're looking for, you can find that anywhere. I buy F/T mice from three different random petstores all within 5 miles of my house (I'm in Burbank). There's no need to drive 30+ miles just for feeders.

And the show in September is fantastic! Best show of the year, in my opinion...blows the others out of the water.

Yeah, NARBC will be awesome. The IRBA shows in San Diego and Pomona are okay and we've been to two, one in each location, but I don't feel the need to go again unless I needed something (like a rosy boa from Randy Wright - which I NEED...but just not right now). =P
