    Unhappy Regurge!

I was cleaning out the rabbit box then looked up to see two half digested rats dumped on Ma-tsu's substrate... It must have been too soon after the vet visit to feed her, I can't imagine what else it could be... Poor baby... I cleaned it up while she sat sulking in her water dish... Breaks my heart to see my special girl not feeling good, and right after she got a clean bill of health...

None of my scale-kids have ever regurged before, and we fed Ma-tsu in her tank so not to disturb her on Tuesday... Gonna skip her next feeding and let her rest...

    Re: Regurge!

Bleck!!! I'm sorry to hear your girl 'gurged. Yuck. Not a nice thing to have to clean, and TWO of 'em to boot!

Was it vet visit and THEN feeding????? Would she regurge if she's gravid????

I figured why Wrigley did his 2x and haven't repeated those situations, but keeping fingers and toes crossed for you that in a couple of weeks, she's recovered and doesn't do it again.

I was instructed to wait two or three weeks before trying another feeding. Gives their tummy & bodies/throats a chance to heal.

    Good luck!!!!

    Re: Regurge!

I fed her the day after her visit, since she usually eats on Sundays and the vet was on Monday... poor girl... I have no idea if it could be related to her ovulation or not, can't find anything in my ratsnake books about it... Tempted to call Dr. K and ask...

Definitely just one rat next time, in a couple of weeks or so...
