New Blue Beauties (and other May additions)

I found a breeder that had a pair of hatchlings available, so these guys arrived this morning!!! What do you think?

And then I brought this guy home yesterday!!! (Hogg Island Boa)

This was last week's addition!! (JCP, possible Irian Jaya cross)

And I started off the month with this little guy!! (striped Baja Cali Kingsnake)

    Very Nice!

How's the temperament on the blue beauties? Still defensive or are they calming down? Are you planning on breeding them?

*thuds from the cuteness of VBBs* I can't wait to have a clutch of those pipping at me... I'll seriously melt.

Yes, I have definite plans to breed the Blue Beauties!! In fact, I found a second breeder that will have more hatchlings in about a month, so I'll probably get a second pair from him.

They are pretty darn cute, aren't they!

I have been keeping my eyes on the blue beauties for some time now. Just love them. Could you let me know about what I should expect to pay for one. Loved all the pics!!

Re: New Blue Beauties (and other May additions)

Yeah, this was definitely an over-the-top month for me . I guess you could say that the snake gods smiled on me! And other than another pair of VBBs and maybe a pair of Mexican Black Kingsnakes, I am DONE for the YEAR! (unless of course another ridiculously good deal crosses my path ) I had been wanting a JCP and a Hogg for a while, I'm hoping to breed both. The Hogg is about 3ft long, and I paid $100 for her! And I'd been looking for Blue Beauties since Sheree got hers. As I mentioned in another thread, I ran across an adult in a scuzzy pet shop, but didn't dare bring it into the house, however seeing an adult really got me motivated, so many "google" searches and phone calls later, I found a pair! Ordered them friday, they were here this morning. Blu, I paid $60 for this pair, the other breeder I may get the second pair from is asking $75.

Oh, SPJ, the BBs were really freaked when they got here (My Fedex guy seems to have a problem with the concept of "fragile"), so they were very defensive, but I'm sure they'll settle down with some handling.

Great deal on the hog.. high quality too. I don't like many hog islands, but yours is lovely.

Thanks April! Yeah, she(he) is gorgeous! She's the first snake I've brought home that my girlfriend has fallen in love with! When I pulled her out of the box, my GF's jaw hit the floor, she was stunned! So I think I did good!
