    Hatchling tub sizes?

What is a good size tub for hatchlings? I was thinking about the 6qt until they get around 400-500 grams then moving them into bigger tubs? Any thoughts?

I keep mine in the Rubbermaid "Shoebox" (13.25" long, 8 1/8" wide, and 4" tall) tubs until they reach about 300-400g then move them up.

Yup, 4-6 quart tubs. I use the iris 5.4 quart tubs that are 4" tall, 13" long and 8" wide. I figure 400 gram is a good moving mark, but it just depends.

Also as a note, the 6 quart sterilites walmar carries tend to be more narrow and taller, so they still add up to 6 quarts, but have less room for the BP. Ive had the best luck in maximizing floor space for a BP by getting the iris 5.4 quart or by finding sterilites that are shorter and wider on the bottom. (big lots, menards, etc usually carry these)

yeah the sterilites are a little tall but I might give one a try, I was asking because I built a rack that today will hold 16 of them (thrown together, I was bored and there was nothing to do)and since I got home I was just thinking what if those tubs are too small then the work I did would be for nothing.

Hehe nah its cool, they should work fine.

I bought 4 types of shoeboxes before settling on one. I picked the Iris tub because of the dimensions. I can build a rack that is 4'x4' and it will hold 60 of them. (well, I should say 5 racks )

Whats the big one made out of? I will probably be build a bigger one when I get done with the adult rack (local reptile shop has some "odd" babies and importing in around 100 so it should be fun to go through them all
