    Mediterranean Gecko

    Here are some pictures of Hemidactylus turcicus (Mediterranean Gecko) that I took infront of Katie's parents home the other night. This gecko is an introduced species. No species of gecko exist naturally in Louisiana, but these guys thrive. You could look on the wall of any house in Katie's neighborhood and spot 4-5 of them. They are the result of ports in New Orleans and first appeared around 1945.

    I could not figure out what that was. I looks like a some type of wound to me....I did not actually notice it until I was looking at the pictures on my computer. These little ones kinda scatter once they notice you are there watching
