    New Rack

Per Joanna's request - pictures of the rack I picked up yesterday from HerpEnclosures.com. Special thanks to Vaughn for the recommendation. I don't have enough water dishes for the whole thing yet - but lots of empty spaces!

Two spaces are reserved for Pandora and Skye, four spaces reserved for my males, that leaves space for three more females - as much as that kills me - NOT! LOL

New girl in her new home:

New Rack - please forgive the clutter around it - we have lots of spring cleaning to do - obviously (oh, and I see I haven't tucked the wires in the back yet). I told Jo, I can't stop looking at it - I feel legitimate now! LOL

Love the dividers, and when the kids get too big, I'll just buy another one from Rich and give them all full tubs. He also has a very nice shoebox rack (I want to say holds 28 - but I may be wrong).

    Re: New Rack

It is very nice. Five things sold me on them, besides them being solidly built.

    1) Vaughn's recommendation
    2) Price is comparable to Boaphile
    3) No long lead time like Boaphile
    4) Belly heat
    5) Optional inserts to make a five tub rack be able to house ten juvies.

Super-nice!! Does that center divider come out of the tubs for easy cleaning? (And expansion?)

    Re: New Rack

Yes, the center divider comes right out. It's actually three pieces that slide together and fit perfectly in the groove in the Sterilite tubs (that you get at Target - their 32 quart ones - I've already forgotten the "model" number - but it's the only 32 quart that they have).

What's nice about the dividers is that they are the exact same height as the tub - so no chance of a neighbor coming over to visit!

Just an FYI, the inserts are an additional $11 for each tub.

    Re: New Rack

looking good robin. the racks are a marine grade SOLID pvc. not expanded or controlled density or hollow core. it is very simliar to pvc used on saltwater boats. they won't sag. they really shine when you stack them, everything is identical and mate perfectly.

robin thanks for asking for my opinion, it gives me an ego boost. i'm just an average guy, that calls them like i see them.

Vaughn, I respect your opinion - if you endorsed it, it was good enough for me. Rich even said "That Vaughn is a really nice guy and VERY particular about the quality of the product, he doesn't miss a detail!" LOL
