Took a lil trip to Big Cypress

Here's some pics from this past week. I took a lil trip (about 30min frpm my house) to Big Cypress preserve this weekend, There are a few dirt roads that lead off into the woods. Some of these gators were 8 to 10 feet long and right off the road. I come out here about twice a year. This time I didnt see many snake at all. Just a cotton mouth and a glass lizard, usually there is more than you care to see. But he gators were out in force! I resized them down a lil. Anyway I know we all love to look at pictures so here they are!

No,, they wont chase you. These are sort of used to people and will come right up to, which for some might not be a good thing because they will take you hands and arms off. But common sense should say dont touch them.

Well I have lived around them and cought them all my life so I guess I'm a little jaded to them. That is actully a cotton mouth or water moccasin. Thats one little snake you dont want to grab!

Wwwooowwww.....amazing pictures!! I would SOOO love to go on an expidition like that!!!
I don't think Cass was asking if the cotton mouth was a ratsnake...I think she meant the critter in your hands. And that would be the glass lizard, wouldn't it? A legless lizard? Those are SO cool!
