    I found a present today!

Doing some misting of one of the two leo enclosures, picked up the humid hide/nestbox and found two new white little eggs inside. The mother to be was closely guarding the eggs, she's my DH Blazing Blizzard LV albino female, and the father of the eggs I believe is the DH BB male. This female has laid two eggs in the past before I got the pair but she was too young so they were infertile. I had her housed with the male DH but they weren't getting along the greatest, so I moved her in with my harem of females, and sub adult Bell albino male.

Technically the Bell albino could be the daddy to the eggs, but he's never shown interest in the other two females in his enclosure...and before I moved the DH female I caught the male DH breeding her but she never produced eggs from that ....so my guess is these are the eggs of the DH pair if she retained his sperm. One way I'll find out is if I get blizzard babies! So now is the waiting game...

    Here's some pictures!

I used the incubation how-to from www.albeysreptiles.com for those that may be interested. The incubation medium is perlite, and the incubator is a simple hovabator.

Finding those eggs made my night, nice and plump looking, can't wait to see those little leos pop out of the eggs!

    Thank you all!

I fed the momma today, and she went crazy on those crickets...All of that laying must've made her hungry.

You can bet I'll take a load of pics of the entire process, as long as they don't hatch when I'm sleeping or something.

Re: I found a present today!

leo babies seem to hatch pretty fast, at least in comparison to cresteds. once they get the egg slit open they are pretty much coming outta there without much stopping to rest or anything. out of all the eggs i had last season i only actually witnessed one or two actually hatching. a few times i was in the room, checked on the eggs and nothing, turned to do something, turned back and BOOM! there was a baby running around the incubator.
