Sasha the BRB - feeding pics

Enjoy! Sasha is the previously starved rescue. He continues to progress and hopefully will live a long healthy life!

I'll try to take some pics after he digests. He has had a rough life. I picked him up at a local reptile store. He had been dropped off there by a man whose son had starved him intentionally for over a year. He could barely lift his head. For months with me he would regurge for no apparent reason. He has been checked for absolutely everything and nothing has come of it. He now hasn't regurged in close to a year and eats a small rat every week. He is strong and alert and appears to be coming around He will always be kept quarantined from the rest of my snakes just in case. Despite what he was put through he is the sweetest snake ever. Wow...the poor thing! He's very fortunate to have found you! Sounds like he may have died even in the care of someone well intentioned, but less experienced or dedicated. Now....why on earth would someone intentionally starve an animal? Any animal? That's just horrible!

Big kudos to you for saving Sasha! I would love to see more pictures as well...brb's husbandry has me scared of them, but they are so interesting looking!

Oh wow, what great shots! Poor thing... I can't imagine starving any creature on purpose like that...! Lucky for him he's in such good hands now, he looks and sounds like he's doing great!

He's looking wonderful Jamie! How could the kid's parents have allowed that garbage to go on for a YEAR! Makes you wonder doesn't it.

Well I'm glad you've got him and have given him such dedicated care to get him to this point.....kudo's to you Jamie.
