First thread in this forum for me!

So here's the deal...I had an extra 10 gallon. My gf saw a setup at a friend's house for firebellies, and she had to have something similar. So I let her set up a half water half land type terrarium. Here's the result:

So after that ran for a while, I figured we had to put something in it. Ended up going with a Bullfrog, cause they eat anything and make cool noises randomly at night. Here's "Bud" (how unoriginal):

I've never kept any kind of frog before...never been into it...but this guy is kinda cool. Eats feeder goldfish, crickets, mealworms, anything. Anything else he could/should eat?

Bullfrogs are cool.. I had one when I was a little girl that would eat mice. Not sure how healthy it is, but I sure thought he looked cool with a tail and two legs hanging out of his mouth.

He's definitely going to need a bigger tank someday.. bullfrogs get quite big!

I don't trust feeder goldfish much.. I may be paranoid but I've heard they usually have bad things (chemicals) and such in them.. I prefer feeder minnows (rosey reds)

Oh yeah, we'd attempt to catch bullfrogs in a pond when I was a youngin', some of those were HUGE. I'll probably end up relocating him to an outdoor pond once he outgrows this setup.

As far as feeder minnows, you mean the ones you can get at any bait store?

Yeah I'm sure the bait minnows are fine too.. they may even be the same species, I'm not sure.

I remember a bullfrog at this pond I used to go to that was probably a foot wide. This thing was huge, and lived in a hole at the side of the water. He'd make a big splash when he jumped in!

Wow....so an adult bullfrog would need something like a 100 gallon indoor pond. That'd be cool, but def no room for that in my house, haha!

Fortunately I don't have any more space to set anything else up...I'm so OCD that I can't just start cramming glass tanks everywhere I have space...its gotta have a stand, rack, something and go with the room. But yeah, maybe one day I'd keep a pacman just for fun...
