    Our New Gravid Females Arrived

After an hour and a half drive to Boston, Ma from Maine, we finally picked up our female Ball Pythons from Delta Dash Air Cargo.

They came through fine and didn't show much stress.

They are beautiful captive bred females from Africa, but I consider them as W/C, I may be wrong in thinking that way.

But here is Big Momma and Big Bertha.

Big bertha weighs in at 1744 grams (approx. 3.78 LBS)

Big Momma weighs in at 1898 grams (approx. 4.2 LBS)

I know their normals, but I look forward in seeing other patterns.

Nope, if they came from Africa "gravid" they're wild caught. It's that time of year.

They look a little thin to be gravid ... sluggers probably .... that's a rough trip for a gravid female to make and still lay viable eggs ... it happens, but it's the exception rather than the rule.

    Good luck!

We got them from Reptile Locators. They seem heavy enough but I know that doesn't mean anything. My wife and I are taking them to a reptile vet this next week and see what they say.

I hope they will lay OK.
