    Pair of YH Tigers

These guys arrived today from The Creature Company, they're Yellowhead Tigers. I named them Boris & Natasha.

I've been bouncing off the walls for a week waiting for them to get here!

I have to say, Jean and BK at The Creature Company were a pleasure to deal with. They were very patient with me, even when I had to push the ship date back about a week. And they came very well packaged, Fedex overnight, and the heat packs were still very warm when they got here.

    Wow - very fine looking!

Love those heads too. They look pretty laid back for fresh out of the box.

    Mellow fellows?

Natasha was kinda flighty, she definitely just wanted to find someplace small, dark, and secure. Boris was more relaxed, but very curious, much more into checking out the new place. Neither showed the least bit of aggression, not even a hiss. I'm gonna give them a couple days of peace and quiet, then I'll start handling them, and try a feeding.

    Re: Pair of YH Tigers

Thanks! These two are the reason I've been asking so many questions about breeding rats LOL!

Funny Story: I was on the phone with Jean at TCC ordering these two, and we were discussing shipping and health gaurantees, and my girlfriend (who besides being very cool is 36 weeks pregnant, and at times a tad "hormonal") walked in just as I asked "So, Do you gaurantee SEX?". The look on her face was priceless!! I started laughing, and told Jean what had just happened, so she started laughing also. It wasn't until I asked "how many generations from WC are they?" that my girlfriend realized who I was talking to, then she started to laugh her a$$ off when she figured out I was talking about snakes.

    Re: Pair of YH Tigers

I'm planning on building 8x2.5 ft enclosures for them in the (near!) future. The female will probably out grow the 4x2 in a year, the male may be ok for a year and a half. Basically, they'd just be bigger versions of what I just built. And I'd probably do a triple stack again. I'm toying with the idea of getting either an albino burm or albino green burm (maybe patternless) female and trying for Bateaters het for albino, or Green Bateater Hets. Of course, I'll also be breeding these two hoping for SuperTigers.

    Re: Pair of YH Tigers

Bateaters are *so* cool. I wouldn't get a green burm because of all the health issues they have though.

Health issues? I hadn't heard that. What's going on with them?
