Yay! My fat tail looks to be gravid!

Last yr. I was so bummed cause my fat tails bred, but I was never successful in getting any of the eggs to hatch, there were several issues. Last night, I noticed my female is HUGE looks like she swallowed an egg, so I picked her up and looked, you can see out lines of what looks to be 2 eggs. So, I am guessing that since she all the sudden puffed up and got huge she is about to lay eggs again. Unfortunately, I am guessing cause last yr. we had some family issues we were dealing with and I was not able to observe as well as I would have liked. I thought she might be too old and was ready to stop breeding when she quit laying eggs early in the breeding part of the yr, but I guess not.

Good luck with that! I've just about given up hope for my first two crestie eggs. Up until two weeks ago they were gaining wait (they were at 90 days incubation) then started losing....sigh.

I hope she lays for you and then they actually hatch!! Good luck!

Heh. I have NO IDEA what a pregnant (that's not the wrong word to use, is it?) lizard is like, but good luck all the same. I have mice, and they are sooo cute when they bloat up the few days before they give birth, so I'm jsut thinking a lizard would look like that. =D Cute.

So, hope those eggs do well this time.

The LONG awaited eggs have arrived!

I know nothing about eggs, but those do look very dented. I hope they hatch for you. Do you have them in a moist enviromnet? Maybe that'd help, but I dunno. *keeping fingers crossed*

They could still be viable. Good luck with them.

I have had two clutches come from one of my female leos (That I wasn't ready for), but couldn't find any vermiculite or perlite anywhere so I tried makeshift but they went bad after 10 days. One of the clutches looked like yours, and I was told to leave them. The other was round and healthy looking...

Yeah they are in moist vermiculite. Hopefully they are OK, but I am sure I will have to wait and see.

Unfortunately, Miranda has a bad habit that no matter what kind of lay box I provide, she lays any where but there. These egg were found when I went to clean and happened to pick the house off of Miranda she was hiding in and noticed she was thinner, and upon further inspection, I found she layed, so I had to do the egg hunting.

40-60 days if they hatch at all. Depends on temp at which the are incubated.
