I just got back from the pet store the Leopard gecko was $50 I'm olny going to house one Leopard gecko not 2..the wonman at the pet store say it 5 month old..but guys one thng I forgot to get a hide for it but is it ok if I use 2 box for hideing?I don't know what to name it..oh one more thing it never been pick up do I handle it everyday like 5 min to get use to me? here the pic of it.

you can use a little rubbermaid, any small plastic food container type thing or a small box temporarily until you can get something else. i use plastic plant pot bases for all my leos--they are super cheap and work great.

also think about providing a humid hide for your new leo. a small plastic container with a hole cut in it and wet papertowels inside works well for this. this will help your leo when it sheds.

good plan on just keeping the one gecko for now. if it turns out to be female then you could get another female if you wanted to.

give your new little one a few days to settle in and then just handle it for 5-10 minutes once a day or so for now until it gets used to you. leos generally tame pretty quickly so you shouldn't have too much of a problem.

it doesn't look like a 5 month old based on its size but it may not have had the best diet at the pet store. it doesn't look thin or anything but it does look pretty young. i wouldn't worry about how old it is exactly, just give it a good diet and it will grow quickly.

btw, you should have at least 2 hides--one on the warm end and one on the cool end. they thermoregulate similar to the way that bps do.

ya I do... it under right now on the warm side the one I had in my hand was for the cool side..

will my GL is doing fine so far..but I till have not name it ..I don't really know what to name it..I'm think of one it Taz...because when it eat it swing it tail and it the food..
