a few questions.

ok i have owned 4 ball pythons over the years and this new one i got has me really wanting to breed when the time comes along so the questions are:

how old do they need to be to breed?
what wieght?
what length?
and around what time of year?

Ball pythons are seasonal breeders, so I would highly reccommend going to Adams site: 8ballpythons.com- and checking out his breeding calendar. Size is also much more important than age or length.... 1500g is a good size for a female to start breeding, and for a male roghly 500-600g minimum. The males are sexually mature at 18 months and for females its alittle more than 2years. But, like I said size is most impotant.

That is, if the snake is only 3 ft long. Good rule of thumb from what i've gathered is 500g per foot of snake, but the female has to be healthy and ready.
