    basic sexing?

I got an amelanistic corn today at an expo, and I need to know if I should give it a masculine or feminine name. I don't plan on breeding it, so I don't need to be too accurate. Does anyone have pictures comparing male/female corn snake tails? All I know is that my corn has a long (I'm assuming, as I can't quite find the cloaca, but all of a sudden the snake gets skinnier (I'm guessing that that's where the tail begins)), and the last few inches are super thin.

Most accurate way to sex 'em is by probing, and then an experienced person popping a snake.

Do U have Kathy Love's book about corns? It's really informative and descriptive as to sexing by tail shapes.

    Good luck.

How about we'll try it this way. Which one (male or female) has a:

    1. SHORTER tail?
    2. THINNER tail?

No, I don't have it. Do you happen to know the name of it?

The Corn Snake Manual by Bill and Cathy Love. Hope this helps. We found it very informative, and still have more reading to do.

The next one on my wish list to the bookstore is The Complete Ball Python.

Yeah, that is the EXACT same book that the person I bought my corn from suggested. I'm not much of a reader, but I may need to check it out. Thanks!
