Need some sexing advice on some Costals
I just received 2 costal carpets and need your advice on the sexes as the person does not no and the sizes are off..lol..
Snake one is 9.75 feet and probes 8 on each side, male??
Snake two is 6 feet and probes 3 on the left and 2.5 on the right..Female??
Just seems like the larger one is huge for a costal?? Any opinions??

i'd say the 10 footer is definitely a male, haha. if you're talking about the length, it's normal for a coastal to get up to 10+ft... they're the largest of the morelia.
and for what it's worth, i hear morelia can be a big pain to probe.... but it sounds like you have it right (i've never done it myself, only seen it done a hundred times).

nice! a male that size really is impressive. my male is only 18 inches, but he pounds fuzzies like he's shootin' for 10'!
also, do you have any experience with juvenile or neonate carpets? my male (oscar) is mean as hell... i haven't had him long at all but he bites and slashes so much, it's hard to believe he'll ever calm down. is this the normal temperament of a young morelia?
