    which would be good

    Hello im wanting to get a monitor since i can't have my dwarf retic. I was at the local petshop today and saw a Timor Monitor i really like it, but i also heard tha Arkies are great also which would be better to have since the baby is on it's way? Thanks Aaron

    I don't know much about timors, but ackies are the best choice for starting in monitors. They are smaller than timors too, so it'd be a better choice when there's a baby around.

    ok but im wondering if i should wait or should i go ahead and get one and do you know of any good breeders? I would like to have a monitor but i can also put it on hold if you all think i should.

    Well you know better than anyone what you are ready/able to take on. Ackies eat a lot and require a very hot basking spot.

    It's pretty easy to find ads on kingsnake or fauna classifieds for ackies. I don't know of any particular breeders.

    Im just asking about them i saw a timor at the petshop and was wondering about them petshop owner was telling me all this crap so thanks im not interested in them now thanks. I'll keep to looking for my corn i really want, or a crazy looking bp.
