Self cleaning oven
Has anyone have/had any issues with self cleaning oven and a ball python in a different room ? I’d like to use it but concern about the fumes

I don't think you'll have an issue. As I understand it, self-cleaning ovens use high heat to reduce food residue to ash that can be wiped away with a sponge (link). I don't think smoke from burnt food residue would be heavy enough to harm a ball python that's in it's enclosure in another room.

If I'm not mistaken, a self-cleaning oven relies on super-high heat only to burn off any debris- I think you'd need to worry a lot more about using chemical products such as Easy Off when it comes to fumes. I don't think smoke alone will do much, though it's not pleasant even for us to breathe. If there's any remaining chemical cleaners in the oven though, that's a different story.

Great minds think alike... even typing at the same time.

Same here. I think it'll be fine.

I actually just did mine two weeks ago. I shut the door to the room with my BP while it cleaned. However not because of any fumes, but because I opened all the windows/doors to the house during the whole 4.5 hour duration while it was 20 degrees outside, ha.
I'm sure your BP will be fine during the cleaning. I'd only worry about it more so if you've cleaned it with chemicals in the past (which you probably shouldn't be doing to the oven in the first place).
