IMG - Stuck Shed or something else.
I’ve noticed my IMG has a small area from the middle of his head to his neck area where it’s a dull sheen compared to the rest of his iridescent body. It doesn’t seem like stuck shed because there is nothing noticeably flaky. I’m including a photo which may help. Tried to take a better one while holding him and the camera but he ‘tagged’ me good for the 1st time in 2 years……

I'm not seeing the dull patch. What I am seeing is a boa that's blowing my mind.

Hahah.....well thanks for the complement! His nose is jet black but then as you reach the eye area, it gets kind of cloudy up until the neck area.

I'm really not seeing an issue either.

I'm not seeing anything either. A little stuck shed wouldn't be a problem anyway, and that's not a location that's especially prone to infection or damage. Maybe worth just monitoring but not being concerned about.

Appreciate everyone’s responses but surprised I’m the only one who’s noticed it. Im attaching another picture. Hopefully you can see how it’s a little cloudy on the top of his head.

I honestly don't think there's anything you can or should do about this...I'd just wait for after the next shed & see if you still notice anything. Beautiful snake, btw.

Re: IMG - Stuck Shed or something else.
If it's a problem, then it will spread. So, take a picture. Wait a while. Take another picture from the same distance and angle. Compare the pics to see if the patch has gotten larger.

Re: IMG - Stuck Shed or something else.
I agree with all that has been said. Beautiful boa and I would not be concerned at the moment.
See if it gets worse and make sure temps and humidity are good.
If sheds have been good, humidity should be as well, but boas can handle pretty high humidity. Make sure you at least 60%+ for a bit and that could help IF it is a skin issue.
Overall, BI's are vey hardy when good husbandry is practiced. Good to be careful/cautious, but I would not get too worried yet.
Good luck and keep us posted!
