Breeding a male multiple times
Can you breed a single male to several different females in one season? If so, how many? I could also use some good breeding links in depth w/ pics would be awesome.

check out this link http://www.ballpython.ca/gallery/breeding.html
there are good pics and info, the whole site is good. the males can breed multiple females, how many is up to you and the male and his health. i think 4-5 girls is plenty, i'm sure people have down alot more.

Re: Breeding a male multiple times
I just read that whole thing very very informative but now I am confused. Females only produce one clutch from one male correct? And they are only bred to one male. Is the male added back into her tank again after they are done locking? Or only introduced until they lock? Jeez I have alot more reading to do

Re: Breeding a male multiple times
Different breeders have different "routines" for breeding a male to several females, some let the male 2 days with each female, then give them 2-3 days to rest and feed, then repeat the process, and somewhere in the middle give them bout a week to rest. But this varies between the breeder and his personal preference.

There have also been several documented cases of more than one male fathering babies in the same clutch. With dominant type mutations this can be a usefully breeding strategy.
