    Male or female

So I got my snake not too long ago and told they were male I’m now starting to question that with head shape and tail I am going to find out but wondered what everyone thought

    Re: Male or female

When it comes to sexing a snake it must be done by probing or popping. It’s really the only true way to find out. There has been times when I’ve guessed a baby ball gender by the tail (short/thin). I’ve got it right 50/50 until I’ve popped them lol. So, it’s just best to get them probed or popped by someone who is skilled enough to do so.

I’m going to take him/her to my friend who is a breeder that can do it the curiosity is kinda killing me at this point it doesn’t really bother me other than the fact he/she will be getting a bigger enclosure than the 4 2 by 2 I’ve just bought before the doubt began to kick in haha

I can't tell on BPs, especially so young. On colubrids, it's a little more pronounced of a difference I feel, but it's still always better to pop/probe to know for certain. Hopefully your friend can pop or probe and let you know

My largest Ball python is a male that weighed in at 2600g recently. He's not fat either. Hahah.
So sex doesn't always mean one will stay smaller or anything in the end.
He did however have people making bets at the reptile store I had brought him to when getting the sex verification.

Ohh wow that’s a big boy! I haven’t weighed mine yet but that’s definitely next on the list to do he is heavy he’s only 1 year and 5-6 months old so he/she still has plenty time to grow too he’s around the 3 foot mark now
