    What thermometer/hygrometer do you use?

I've personally used lots of different thermometers/hygrometers over the years (Inkbird, ZooMed, random generic ones, etc.) and while none of them have necessarily been bad, I feel like I should just go ahead and upgrade what I have and get some for my boyfriend's bp and frogs as well.

What I need suggestions for is a good thermometer with a probe, a thermometer/hygrometer without a probe, and a thermometer/hygrometer with a probe. I may or may not end up using all of these, but I still want recommendations for as many products as possible so I have more options to choose from. Also, product links would be appreciated

Did you mean "thermostats" rather than "thermometers"?

No, I meant thermometer. I have a Herpstat 2, I just want to have thermometers to measure temperatures in hides and on different sides of the enclosure which are better than the ones I have now.

Thanks for the clarification, I was about to ask the same thing as Bogertophis, haha. Also Herpstats are awesome - good choice!

I don't use thermometers/hygrometers with probes, since I think my snakes would just drag them out of position all the time. However, for a thermometer/hygrometer that you can just plop wherever (and set back into place if pushed askew), I've found the little Acurite ones to be perfectly serviceable, like this one: https://www.amazon.com/AcuRite-00325...dp/B004K8RF10/ or this one: https://www.amazon.com/AcuRite-Humid...dp/B0013BKDO8/

For the more high-tech wireless temp/humidity sensors, I bought several Temp Sticks from Ideal Sciences when they were on sale last year (following the recommendation of a long-time boa breeder I follow on IG). They are definitely pricey, but excellent quality, and I like the format of the data reports. They also weathered through several prolonged power outages in my area last month without any disruption in their settings, and the push notifications for high and low temp warnings can be useful. They can be found here: https://tempstick.com/

With that said, there are several wireless sensor options in easier price ranges too, though I don't have personal experience with them. The ones I have heard generally good things about are from SensorPush and Govee, both of which can be found on Amazon.

I used Exoterra's combo meter for a couple years. It worked well until the probe got wet. The thermostat still worked but the hydrometer was no longer accurate.

I asked because it's happened before, that someone said thermometer but meant thermostat. Just better to make sure so the answers match what you're after.

I should add that I now use an Accurite like the one RedRabbit linked to above.

I don't blame you haha. I think we've all dealt with it at some point, whether talking to someone online or in person.

Alright, I might get it just for my humid hide then. I do have a question though: when you said it got wet, did you just spray it or did it fall in a water bowl or something like that?

I don't recall. It was just the probe that got wet. I don't mist, so either I spilt water on it or I dipped it in the water bowl.
