These are stuck eye caps, right?

Tried to remove some eye caps from one of my girls, and came to discover that if they're eye caps, they're really stuck. Almost has me worried that they're not actual caps. I just want to make sure that I didn't end up messing with her eyes themselves and whether I need to take her straight to the vet if that happened. I'd rather not go spend the money to do this just for the vet to confirm that they're eye caps and tell me to do the warm wet towel in the pillowcase thing, which I'm already doing. Any help is appreciated.

I hope you realize that we're not seeing them- and if you have ANY doubt, or they don't come off with very gentle methods (as you've described as already having tried), you should take your snake to a qualified herp vet for assistance. Really stuck eye caps can be quite challenging to remove, & people have blinded their snakes trying to do this.

overall, judging by the way the spaces between scales look, the snake may be going into blue and shedding in a few days.... ? Or is she always that white and a little faded at the scale edges around the head?

She's not going into shed. Just shed recently. Just the way she looks. Was sold to me as a firefly het desert ghost, but with her head blushing, I'm starting to think she might actually be a superfly.

I think I'm going to make a vet appointment for next week. I'll continue the wet towel in the pillowcase method until then, and hopefully I'll be able to cancel.

In my experience, I've never had to take a snake to the vet for this, & most of the time- stuck sheds come off- but I've also seen rescues with multiple layers of stuck sheds that needed delicate help from a steady handed & experienced vet. When they've been stuck for a long time, it gets worse. I hope your snake "cooperates"-

Retained eye-caps and stubborn shed /skin can fairly easily in my experience - get a very damp , rough textured towel and wrap the snake up in it - let the snake slither around as long as possible.. when it’s head pops out just cover it up again with the excess towel ..as it’s slithering around you should apply very gentle pressure to the head region and after a while the skin and eye caps will just come off nice and gently ON the towel .

Please don’t try pulling at the skin or using any kind of TAPE !!

I’ve seen clips on YouTube of people using tweezers to remove eyecaps and skin.

That said, you can find videos of almost anything. It's very dangerous to use tweezers to do this, because snakes often struggle & do not sit still for this, & there you are with a pointed metal object right next to their eye- there's a very high danger of poking them in the eye, with serious infection & blindness the result. So please don't use tweezers.
