    28th Year of Keeping

2023 marks the start of my 28th year as a reptile keeper. Figured I’d update some of the OGs of the good old forum days (@Gio @Reinz @Dakski @EL-Ziggy) as to who’s poop I’m cleaning as of late.

Congratulations. You have an impressive collection. This is my favorite. I love the little boas too. Are they miniature or just young?

The Boa sigma pair are a dwarf locality. All the 2022 critters pictured are just young being that they were born this summer. Honestly I'd still consider all of them young animals aside from the nearly 14yo pictured first

Your two Argentine boas look very different. Is Mirabelle Rose's higher red expression due to normal variation or is it a result of locality, morph, age?

They are both line bred for higher retention of juvenile coloration into adulthood, which varies a quite a bit between individuals depending on the pairing that produced them. No morphs involved in either of them.
