    Che bulb

    I woke up thankful when I did and say the temp low about 70 degrees under the che side the che has died i am wondering what watt is best for ziggy I have looked on line it say no preference what watt to you use?

    I've taken the liberty of reposting a pic of your enclosure from October. If your set up has changed substantially, please post a current photo. I've never used CHEs myself, but these pics will help those that do advise you. Thanks.

    The zilla hide out is bigger that’s the only thing has changed what do you use? A heating pad?

    If it did the job you could replace it with another CHE or with a deep heat projector (DHP) of similar wattage.

    I use a RHP (clearly visible in this photo) and heat tape (under the tub). There is a whole in the pvc shelf that allows my snake to go from one to the other.

    if you suspect it’s a wattage issue you could use a thermostat controller that way it won’t go over board on its own? i use em and they’re p handy
    het for nothing but groovy

    I have these so it won’t get to hot
    RHP? I know it no excuse for not looking it up even though I had him about 3 years because of a crazy work schedule every day is a new day to learn and I have learned some to a lot with him and other people will look at it soon
    And your the first person I have seen using some sort of a pet friendly carpet in terrarium

    FYI, I like using backless indoor-outdoor carpet for some of my snakes, & I've been doing so for many years; it's a very "green" option, as it lasts virtually "forever", it's hand-washable, can be disinfected, dries fast (or can be used damp) & offers excellent traction for snakes. It also allows UTH heat to rise thru it easily.
