    VE-6 Rack Setup

    Hey Everyone!

Finally decided on a rack and have a few questions...

    6 Level VE-6 Rack

    VE 300 Thermostat

    1. Will the VE 300 be enough to run all levels?
    2. Best place to put the probe?
    3. Anything else I'm going to screw up?

    1. Yes.
    2. Depends on the conditions of the space the rack is in. Start with the middle and adjust as needed.

    Re: VE-6 Rack Setup

Is it best to confirm with infrared temp sensor on top of the substrate on hot side?

    3. (a) Give a lot of thought to how you're going to approach quarantine for additional animals.
    (b) Consider your future needs for enclosures/racks (if you'll be breeding, for example). It may be that a different thermostat -- Herpstat 4 or 6 comes to mind, as it always does -- may be a better purchase right away.
