    ID Assistance Needed

    So I recently acquired a new animal who at first seemed like a pastel in his pictures, but clearly is not due to the pattern now that he's out of his quarantine period and I can properly handle and look at him as well. So curious what people think? I am thinking something within the BEL complex, but the pattern is so odd for any of the stuff in there that I'm not 100% sure.

    My best guess is Cinnamon Pewter Mojave. Color and alien heads that are both floaty and tear-droppy could be a fit, maybe.

    You don't know anything about the parentage I take it?

    At a glance, I agree with Alicia. Blk pastel, Mojave, pastel
    But really, without knowing the pairing, you may just need to breed it out to see for sure.

    @Zincubus
    Was thinking something within the BEL complex initially until looking them up to check, sadly nothing really matched up. Especially with his extended markings along the side.

    @Alicia
    Hmm, interesting. Very least I can definitely find out next season when the lady friend of his is big enough.

    @Armiyana
    Sadly no idea on parentage. Got him from someone who lost all records on that front since they got him from another person who bought from a breeder. So needless to say, bit of a wild ride.
    Luckily I do have a genetic stripe lady to breed him to next season when she's of size and age (I'm very sure she is just a g-stripe, thankfully!) so that'd definitely be my best ticket to really separating out any genetics. But I do have a cinny gal, too, who's RTB this season that I might actually try pairing him to as well and let my main male have a bit of a break, possibly.

    Just as a heads up, if you DO end up proving out blk pastel or cinny on this boy....
    The complex does have known issues with facial deformities and kinking in the super/allelic forms. I don't know if that is a game changer with your cinny gal.
    I know personally I've been looking for as unrelated and problem free lines of cinny for a project I'm planning to breed for, but it's something to definitely be aware of.

    Yeah, I've heard of the duck billing and other issues that come with the super forms of black pastel and cinny. For now I'm just trying to consider my options art the time. As getting a super cinny or black pastel cinny would at least be a pretty obvious indicator of one thing. But like I mentioned, I also can wait on my gstripe gal next season as well since that would at least isolate things a bit more.
