Scale rot
I noticed this last night is dark in color it the best photo I can get at the moment I have seen a few photos of scale rot I hope this isn’t it of what ziggy has

My thought is "...get better ones tonight". And don't jump to a conclusion- does the spot wash off? Many times substrate (or pigment from) gets stuck under scutes.

going to try to get photos when I can after tonight as a time lapse IF it is scale rot
Last time I knotted something odd stuck I thought it was mite but it was the coconut husk lol
I saw him go in who’s water dish when he was exploring on the Wyze lol just realize I should have checked it before I left at work

Much better photo, tks, but sorry, I still cannot tell what that is. From here it looks like he got a minor (shallow) cut that got caked (embedded) with dirt or substrate.
I don't see any redness- it doesn't look inflamed or infected. Are you sure he didn't try to get a tattoo & then changed his mind?
