    Snake Cake

Would you eat this cake? It made me cringe at first, but then I was like, "I gotta get one of these."

Yikes! I'd have trouble cutting into something so lifelike! But once inside, the cake looks good...

Natalie is so good at cakes. I've been watching her for a while.

She's going to be working on a bearded dragon cake soon.

I made my son a green tree python cake for his birthday a couple years back. It was no where near this good, but I legit had party guests refuse to eat it.

Why? Were they afraid it was poisonous? Green tree python's aren't poisonous. It's not like you baked a cobra or a rattlesnake or something .

To me, it's more like you're eating a family member. What if the cake was make to look just like your dog, your spouse or your kid? It's kinda sick...even though it's obviously just a cake, my brain doesn't want to cut into that, nor does it make me hungry- & full-disclosure, I LOVE cake & sweets!

People have been making cakes shaped like animals & things like clowns long before this- but none were realistic in appearance- they were comic caricatures. This takes some getting used to...at least for me. Maybe because of all these "reality" shows where people do kill & eat snakes, which is also something I don't want to see.

I'll admit, if it was shaped like my Children's python, I'd have a much tougher time slicing it.

    Re: Snake Cake

Part of the particular cake artist that made this cake's brand is just that she makes 'cakes that don't look like cakes'

It's a trend with some places now, like Netflix having a show called 'Is it cake?' and the contestants need to try and fake out judges.

Natalie makes some really neat ones, like a cup noodle, a Nintendo switch, avocados and tomatoes. This one iirc she was told about doing a snake cake for someone and she specifically picked this one because she thought it was neat, not that it was based on a pet.
She has actually made a self portrait cakes as well
