    Pics of Emi's Enclosure

This is the enclosure my mom and I set up for Emi. It has two hides, a water dish, a climbing tree, a rock arch, some silk flowery vines and a heat rock with the cord cut off just for climbing on. It has aspen for the substrate and a nice background we found at Wal-Mart.

I'm really proud of it. This is the first enclosure I've ever set up and I think Emi likes it a lot. It is keeping her temperatures just right too. She climbs all around in it and burrows in her aspen and uses her hides.

I can't wait to feed her tonight.

Nice looking setup there! Congrats again on getting your new baby. I'm sure she'll be one happy camper.

Looks very nice! I bet she loves all that aspen to burrow in.

    Good luck with the feeding!

    Re: Pics of Emi's Enclosure

I'm really pleased with how Emi's enclosure came out and the snake seems to love all the nooks and crannies to slither around and hide in. Lovely little snake!

Good job Beth! (really silly typing that while she standing over my shoulder reading my post as I post it LOL)

Looks great Beth and of course Jo! A family that herps together stays together (oh that was ridiculous sounding).

LOL I understand the sentiment though Jamie and thanks!

Just a quick update on Emi. Last night was her night to eat and she took her lovely f/t pinkie mouse without a bit of hesitation. Funny enough she didn't strike or coil, just gently took it from the hemostats Beth was using. Very ladylike LOL. Is this how milks eat or was Emi just being unusually gentle? I'll have to contact her breeder and ask how she normally acts when eating but anyway, she ate and that's the whole point. Beth will likely post pics we took.

Most all of the colubrids i have kept, when given f/t they just open their mouth to it. Never have had one strike or constrict.
