Question Rescuing a ball python with scale rot..

I'm gonna be rescuing a ball with scale rot, idk how to post pictures here but its like brown rough scales all down the tummy, i have done research and have come up with a plan of bathing the ball in betadine diluted to a weak tea color for 20 mins everyday and then putting neosporin (without pain relief just the antibiotic one) on the stomach and keeping the cage dry for now... is this correct ? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!

I'd use Vetericyn rather than neosporin. I've heard neosporin can cause shedding problems.

Yup! Vetericyn "for reptiles" (Vetericyn is a brand name that makes products for various kinds of animals.)
