usually a dented eye means that your snake is dehydrated or there is not enough moisture in the viv. is your viv humid enough?

Achillies, your post was moved, because you put it in the ball python forum, yet in your post, you said it is a corn snake.

Just raise the humidity a bit and it should be fine and go back to normal soon.

Re: Help my snakes eye is dented

build your snake a humidity cup.

Fill a gladware tub with moist spangum moss(wet it down and wring it out!) and cut a hole in the top so your snake can fit in. Set on top of the UTH and VOILA! instant humidity cup!

The dent will come out with the next shed But when you do see him go blue, soak him once a day for about 10 minutes till he goes clear. That will help the shed go better (my reptile vet Dr. Stahl recommended that)

Re: Help my snakes eye is dented

The humid cup is a good idea but if you want his dent to heal up fast i would lightly mist the whole tank. He may not want to go into the humid hide and therefore his dent might not get fixed, if you mist the whole enclousure then he has no choice.

Either way its not a huge deal, it will heal up and he will be fine

Re: Help my snakes eye is dented

a dented eye is usually a sign of dehydration, so make sure he has a water bowl with nice fresh water and up the humidity for a while.

if its not dehydration then i dont know what it could be???????
