I thought switching from mice to rats would be a lot harder.

I tried my hand at switching 2 of the three BP’s I have to rat pups and to my surprise everything went smoothly. The one I didn’t switch was already on them. I guess I’ve just read so much about them refusing rats when they’re mouse fed that I though of all the refusals etc that I’ve read about, honestly I’m just glad it wasn’t a nightmare.

HOORAY! That's great- you never know, so I'm glad you got lucky.

That's great news, congrats! I also got lucky with my BP, he switched from mice to rats with no issues and he will eat anything I throw in there - I've fed him quail and ASF too and he will take anything I offer him and switch between different types of food with no problems.

Thumbs up Re: I thought switching from mice to rats would be a lot harder.

It's great when they aren't fussy. You only ever hear about it when there are issues or the snake refuses to eat.
