I’m more of a spring and fall guy but I enjoy our Hotlanta summers too. We spend a lot of time at the pool as well.

Summer rocks!!! Here in NY it doesn't get too hot but I love herping and usually get a few good watersnake bites before the end of the season lol.

You might be too busy hatching geckos this year?

I LOVE spending time at the beach, especially in the summer (because I love swimming in the ocean). Unfortunately I currently live no where near the beach. Wish I had a pool to make up for it!

Oh no...I'm so sorry! I prefer pool water, actually, other than maybe swimming in Kauai, but that's a bit far & impractical. I never liked swimming in the ocean on the West coast- hanging out at the beach, sure- but not in the water. (Too much pollution, it's usually cold, you're always stepping in "beach tar" & you're always getting tangled in kelp...I know, I'm "picky"-)

There are a couple small, less populated east coast beaches that I really like. I'm not into the packed touristy type beaches. The beach is my happy place. But right now I'd settle for a salt water pool, especially if it was in my own backyard.

I love summer! There's a bench in the park across from my job where like to I eat my lunch. In the Spring and Fall, sometimes it's taken, but not in the Summer. This bench has no shade and at lunchtime the sun's directly in front of you. Beautiful. I don't care if it's a 100. I'm basking on that bench. Must have a bit of reptile blood in me.

That's my idea of a nice beach too- (that's why I said Kauai & not the "big island", which I happily skipped anyway). The CA beach I liked best was actually only accessible by a very long stairway (which was brutal going back up for those not in shape- as I recall, it was 150 steps), plus it routinely disappeared completely during high tides, so it was always very private. Divine! When I lived nearby, I actually got in sync with the tides...

Re: Who's ready for summer? Let's hear it-

I love having seasons, 4 here in Connecticut, but Summer is up there. Most of my hobbies, outside of reptiles, are done in the summer; motorcycle riding, driving the sports car, sitting on the deck with a nice cigar, etc.

It's historically brutally hot in our house in the summer. However, we installed central air this year! So, we are chillin' like villains.

The reptiles are in the finished basement, where we spend much of our time, and it's always been okay down there with a dehumidifier running. However, this is a big improvement.

So, to answer your question Boger, YAY summer!
