    Dimming or Pulse

Which setting should be used when using a radiant heat panel?

I prefer dimming, it keeps a more steady hot spot

    Re: Dimming or Pulse

Just got my AP Cage and I use my Herpstat Spyderweb to keep my 100 watt Pro Heat Panel on dimmer mode. I prefer to keep the maximum power at 90% but it really doesn't even need that. Surface of the heat panel will get around 160-165 degrees F, but since it is on the ceiling and flat (that is, there's nothing to hold onto), it won't be able to burn your ball. You should be able to hold your palm up against it for a second or 2 before getting uncomfortable but it won't leave a burn.
