Re: What Else could be in this boy?
To my knowledge there is no way to tell asphalt or yellowbelly apart. So you could see either one influencing what you are seeing. The only way to be definitive if it is an asphalt or yellowbelly is breeding him and proving him out

I do know this, my proven asphalt male doesn't have those lip or chin markings and none of my yellow belly's have it either so was wondering if anything else could be going on with him or if it could just be unique to him with the asphalt or yb gene .

None of my YB, Asphalt, or any other YB complex morphs have that marking, not even with Enchi in there, and I have quite a few. Could be something unique to him, though I have seen markings like that before in other morphs. Do you want to post some pics of his headstamp, side pattern, and dorsal to see if there is anything else that might stand out to us that you might have overlooked? Those markings on his chin look a little like what YB complex stuff does to the belly, so perhaps some other morph pushed more color to his lower face to give that end result mixed with YB/Asphalt.

Nice looking animal. I wonder since asphalt gene being part of the super stripe complex these are just random markings. Yellowbelly and gravel being related as well? They seem more in line with a form of striping however small.
Stay in peace and not pieces.

My girl has a chin stripe kind of like that and she has YB in her, I'll see if I can get a pic of it for you
edit to add: you can actually see it a bit in my profile pic, lol!

The headstamp is a little bit funky but not too out of the ordinary. Everything else looks pretty standard for the combo to me. I'm guessing just a weird anomaly.
