What is the difference between calico and sugar? They remind me of coral glow/banana. Are they different lines of the same gene?
True, yes and controversial with quite a few breeders and keepers. Calico and sugar seem to be similar lines to some and different to others. They both act to brighten but are variable in bringing up the white on the lateral scales. Calico seems to also brighten darker coloration. Sugar and calico can sometimes produce a type of streaking and or pixelated patterning. Still variable but similar.
Stay in peace and not pieces.
