    A snake I miss..

I had this great looking pastel but i was in a rough spot in life and so I had to sell her. I do have one of her babies that's a super blast, im hoping he will make a baby pastel the looks like her. Ive heard with super pastels they will have two genes of pastel so the pastel babies will one or the other?

Sorry that circumstances forced you to part with her, she's real pretty- wait for others with expertise in genetics for help on your question.

Since the baby is a super pastel then he has two pastel alleles. That means that every baby will have pastel and inherit one of the two alleles. A high quality pastel has the same gene as a low-quality pastel but other genes affect the quality. If you bred him to a normal then you should be able to get a range of pastels and possibly a high quality pastel. You may or may not get one that looks like the original female but you have better chances with this male than a random pastel.

Agree with Erie_herps. The quality doesn't come from Pastel itself, but from other minor genes that increase or decrease the overall look. Generally speaking, the baby should have roughly half of those, so it's baby would have 1/4 of them, but if you chose a quality bright mate to pair you have a good shot at getting that high quality looking Pastel as offspring.

    Thank you guys!

I will be breeding him to my lesser and my mojave. They are monsters, ive bred them once in 10 years I imagine they will give me a bunch of eggs with how big they are.

Pic when they were young, their color is basically the same except the lesser might be a bit brighter now.

That is a stellar pastel. If its the high blushing and bright color you're looking for, You might want to check out what hypo does when mixed with pastel, if you ever expand your collection.
