Re: red weird eyes in my super lesser

    Hello guys, what's up?

Updating this case: yesterday it had it first shed.

Now, with new skin and the same unusual eyes... LOL

It brother has blue eyes: son of the same dad, but different mom.

Great clutch! Congrats. Consider giving the physical presentation more time. The reptile still has a lot of growing to do and maybe the first shed just isn’t enough time. Genetics is not a exact science and there are degrees of variability, influences, and random occurrences or presentations. Relax and enjoy them and see where it goes at the 6 month marker. Congrats again. Hope this helps!

Due to the fact that I'm a beginner in the ball pythons world, the eyes color caused me a little concern: I only knew super lessers with blue eyes...

But now I'm a bit more relaxed about the issue: thanks to the friends from this forum!

Stepping in to agree, looks like your typical BEL

I'm glad that the worries are gone. I was hoping the pictures of my BEL with the same red pupils would have helped you earlier.

There's a lot of polymorphic traits in Ball Pythons. Even something well known like, "pastels have green eyes" isn't always right. Or the patterns on two snakes with the same genes can be dramatically different.
