    Banana mojave

Hey guys, I tried posting this in the Banana section on codominant section but couldn't find it.

Question is, how many black speckles will a banana mojave have? I have barely seen any pics of an adult with them but was told all bananas will have them. I'm not a big fan of them and because of it, may change my choice.

    Thanks

Mojave keeps them from getting the speckles. There's a few other genes that keep them away as well but I can't remember which off the top of my head

My two year old coral glow gal is a Mojave Fire and she doesn't have a dark spot on her.

They can still get spots but even when they do, there are less of them and they lighter. In MM, as long as you are signed into an account, you can change the selection to availability:all and see sold snakes, as well as change age:adult and you can see quite a few.

Wow. Thank you. That looks beautiful. The colour is why I love this combo.

I've seen those and had never seen one with the speckles but I googled it and someone asked the question on reddit and someone replied saying 99.5% of all them will get them. Was skeptical so I asked here. Thank you.

Looking into it a bit more and with what Nikkubus mentioned, it could also be the mojave combo with the fire gene or her lineage.
Her mother is a coral glow mojave enchi fire and she doesn't have a spot on her either.

You're right about the colors. So pretty, I couldn't say no when I saw her. Instantly went from buying a male from her breeder to buying a pair. LOL

I’ve heard that banana combined with the BEL genes (Mojave, Butter, Lesser) can result in reduced or no spots. I’ve seen some adult bananas with multiple genes and no spots but it could be hard to predict whether or not they will get spots when they are babies.

If you decide not to go with banana, there are some lookalikes like Candy, Toffino, and Lavender Albino which don’t get spots.

    Re: Banana mojave

Lesser and Mojave often work similar.

For Reference: Banana Lesser (3 yrs)

Definitely has a few spots trying to show through.

A Lav Albino won't have spots, but, will look completely different.

Thank you. I will look into that but I think I'm still going with it. The snake is too beautiful for me to pass. I'll get used to it. Never say never though.

Yeah. That's not bad at all. Beautiful
