Paradox or typical of the outcome?

Is this paradoxing or just how black pastel/ cinnamons are? I'm wondering because there should be no visible pattern, right? Maybe spots, but that's it? The pairing was black pastel x cinnamon pastel spider so this snake could have additional hidden genes. I also kept this snake's brother who came out quite differently since I liked him, too.

Seems pretty common for 8Balls to have markings like that, though I'm surprised just how many of those cleaner spots on the dorsal it has.

Re: Paradox or typical of the outcome?

Thanks for your input. From what I can see online (I've not seen an 8 ball in person before this snake) some pictures do show yellowish spots but they don't seem to have the hints of pattern underneath. And the stripe on his tail and the scales under his tail look pure white whereas the rest of his belly looks off white. It's rare to find good belly pictures of morphs and combos online (hint hint morph dictionary)

Yeah, I really wish some people would work together to put together something for BPs like Ian's cornsnake morph guide (https://iansvivarium.com/morphs/). Some pics are missing from there but I love how there was attempt to get pictures of eyes, belly, and body at different stages of growth! It would make things so much easier for new breeders or breeders working with new morphs if there was something like that. Maybe that is something MM will add in the future if we suggest it.
