First day of owning a snake. Trying to figure out my morph and sex.

Interested in any insight. I was already able to feed it. https://imgur.com/a/DaWhSur

    Congrats on your new baby.

    Looks like a champagne morph.
The downside is you can't sex a bp by looking at it. You would need to have someone 'pop' it for you or probe it for the sexing.

Does it have a ringer by the vent? Could be possible het! Or is this marking normal for champagnes? I've only seen a few in the real world so the marking may be normal.

Be careful if popping them to sex them. They're tough little guys but there is a risk of hurting them this way. I pop them, but do feel anxious when doing it sometimes. Always worry I could apply to much pressure trying to get to see the hemipenes and damage their organs or even their spine!

Never tried probing and only ever seen videos on it.
I'll probably forget by the time you've read this...

Champagnes often have het pied markings like ringers. There's no guaranteed way to identify hets (pied, clown, hypo, etc.) but I think experienced people can make an accurate estimate when a het is known to be possibly present.
For popping or probing have an experienced breeder or keeper show you how to do it. If it's done by someone inexperienced it can cause major problems if done wrong.

Yeah I won’t mess with the popping, I’ll let a vet do that. I wasn’t sure about the white markings, I just assumed that they were there because of a recent shed. But if those are pied marks that’s awesome that they’ll stay.

The white marks are from champagne, it's not uncommon for them to occur.
