The city of Manning, Iowa will be reviewing its animal ordinance. This will likely involve discussion on all non-domesticated animals so anyone with species other than dogs and cats should be aware and engaged. The City already has an overreaching pet limit of three animals combined for dogs and cats, so even traditional pets may be in the conversation.
Winnipeg update from CanHerp Canadian herpetoculturists should support and be aware of CanHerp. Canherp is an association of reptile and amphibian keepers, working together to preserve, foster, and grow the reptile and amphibian hobby in Canada as specialty pet enthusiasts.
"A step closer to supporting the efforts for specialty pets in Winnipeg! After much discussion, meetings, and suggestion submissions, Winnipeg has decided to exclude specialty pets from their upcoming Council Committee meeting in December. While the consideration of specialty pets and welfare is not off the table, they are willing to work with us in the future to find the best solution for everyone while still considering the importance of animal welfare.

This means they're not considering it for the December meeting. It isn't 100% off the table yet, however, they are putting it down for now, but happy to work with CanHerp and other local specialty pet organizations to review what is best for both pets, owners, and welfare.
