    Just a pastel or...?

Been a while since posting here after a move and several years being out of the hobby. Jumping back into keeping balls with hopes of breeding again in the future. Anyway, my fiancé and I happened upon this guy for sale at a literal hole-in-the-wall exotic pet shop. He was labeled simply as "Pastel Ball Python" but this doesn't look like a typical pastel to me. I've seen a few mislabeled animals in this shop over the past few months (a pastel butter labeled as a "butter spider", for instance). This guy's alien head patterns are shattered and his color is really neat.

What do you guys make of him?

I'm thinking super pastel and something else for all the broken up aliens. Super pastel because of the head. Maybe just a lower expression.. Also, it has a lot of blushing super pastels have as babies. Maybe a low show ghi or leopard added on...or just a few hets here and there. But don't take my word for it, poke around you might find something But i'm not sure about the super pastel, it's not as vibrant as others...it's hard to tell in the pics 🤷 good luck.

Granite pastel? Or granite super pastel?

Not personally familiar with granite, but images I've seen whilst 'window shopping' have returned plenty of mixed up alien heads like this where granite is in the mix.

    But that's just guess work!

Did you buy it? Looks like a stunner!
I'll probably forget by the time you've read this...

He's has a really interesting look- I sure can't help you with what he is, but hopefully nikkubus (or others with more experience in morphs) will comment.

We did buy him and he promptly peed all over my fiancé in the car. LOL

I guess we'll just have to grow him up and try to figure out his make up through breeding.

Typical way that snakes show their gratitude! He's got a very unique look though, & I'd have been surprised if you HADN'T taken him home.

I agree, Super Pastel is a strong possibility, though it's probably a weak version if that is the case because the side pattern really doesn't even look like a Pastel at all, let alone two copies.

    Granite is another good possibility.

Green Pastel/Lace Black Back or something else in the Cinnamon family might be responsible for the speckling of the alienheads and the shrinkage and rounding of them, as well as the color I'm seeing, but it very well could be the photos are just looking a bit off from how they look in real life.

Impossible to know for sure without knowing the parents, but those are my best guesses for what could be responsible.
