Mississippi Woman Finds Blond Timber Rattlesnake

Glad it was collected and put in a zoo. As the article states, it's rare for one without natural camouflage to survive in the wild.

I'm in with this one too. I'm glad he's got safe lodgings with those who appreciate him. He's much prettier than a true albino, IMO. Wow!

I got a laugh out of the soundtrack they added to the wrestling males too.

A rattlesnake headline and Boger didn't post it first? Off your game I see.

But I'm busy drooling over the photo & wishing I'd found him. He's so freaking pretty, & apparently rather mellow too.

Read the story a few days ago. Thought it was a released pet when I read it hadn't rattled yet. Really glad it didn't meet a shovel like so many others.

Plenty of wild rattlesnakes act the same (calm) way, especially ones that haven't previously met humans, & especially those not living in Texas. Tells you something, doesn't it?

I actually removed some folks off my social media over the weekend for taking one to a copperhead who was unlucky enough to wander into the wrong yard. I won't get on my soapbox about that though as I'm sure we're all on the same page.

Anyway! Back to this beauty, I saw this story a couple of days ago too and was drooling over the picture. I don't keep hots and have no intention of ever keeping them, but I do admire when nature turns out something like that. Happy it found a safe home!
