"This spa was for ME, right?"

Miso, one of my Chidren's Pythons (she's the little girl who survived and recovered from terrible injuries last year) regularly enjoys climbing and exploration time outside of her enclosure.

Recently she was 'asking' to be out by pacing back and forth at her enclosure entrance, so I put her on a jungle gym I've rigged up for my small pythons. I was getting ready to thaw some rodents and had put a container of lukewarm water on the footstool next to the jungle gym. I turned away for about a minute to grab tongs, and in that time Miso had discovered the water, made her way over from the jungle gym, and ensconced herself in her new 'spa' where she lounged for a good hour.

Miso has a humidity hide available along with a water bowl that's big enough to soak in, and has always had perfect sheds - so it's not like she's dehydrated. She just wanted THIS container of water. My little diva.

There’s something about the Aussie pythons 🐍

These are smart little pythons- never underestimate them, just because they're not huge snakes. They really seem to pay attention & know what's going on.
